Romania is famous for its hand painted eggs. 

This tradition is still alive in the region of Bukovina. Many habitants make these painted eggs at home and usually are similar in the motive they work on.  More elaborate are the Mesters that make painted eggs in different motives that represent the area they live in.  A mester will spent several hours per egg in order to obtain a work of art.
